rating appeal win
james just won my appeal. i was hoping for a little more although i have been told the result was the best possible. the fee was good, just a few hundred pounds and the council tell me i am due over 3000 back plus my rates bills are going to be reduced by about 25% from next month. the thing i like most about this company is that i have a second property - i asked them to do a rates review on my 2nd one and they refused becuase they tell me i pay too little and by doing an appeal and the rates may go up but 100% not down.

Very Honest
I would never normally take the time out to write a review however I appreciated the honesty of a man dealing with rating appeals at this company. I had several calls from "sales" people claiming they could reduce my rates at a one of fee of £500. I went on to google looking for a local surveying firm and telephoned this company. I was initially swayed to call them due to paying no money up front. I had a lengthy chat with the man in charge of the rating appeal dept (cannot recall the name sorry. He advised me that based on rents i think and some other factors my rates would not be able to be reduced. He then came to my shop when in the area to check floor areas as apparently this is another way to reduce your rates but as the areas were correct he did not place an appeal. They took time out with no pay to see if they should make an appeal (i guess they will only appeal if they know there is a chance as their fees are based on the reduction). Needless to say this i have saved this companies details in case i need them for anything in the future. I have dealt with a couple of firms like this over my 15 years of trading and as a potential client i would say it was the honesty and general nature of the man i spoke with that has led me to write such a positive review.

Great to deal with
This company acquired me a new shop to run my business from (i am the tenant). They also advised and helped me buy a shop investment giving me a very good return. They have previously acted on a rent review for me where i was the tenant. Very helpful and will always use again in the future.

Good result for a good fee
I am the owner of a small shop in liverpool street, london. The whole rating appeal case took a year - quite long but i understand that is normal for my area. Pretty good savings and no money up front which was the main reason i went with them.

Couldn't ask for more
I rent a mid sized shop in east london. Friend of mine used this company for a rating appeal and got a reducion. I used them for a rent review, landlord tried to increase my rent 40% but we ended up settling on £250pa more so i was very pleased. They also did a rating appeal for me which we lost but they did not charge for this.
