nice old-fashioned place

I hope the title doesn't give the wrong impression - this little place off Epping High Road is like the sort of place I visited as a kid with my parents, maybe that's why i like it so much. It serves up 'proper' food with waitresses dressed in white aprons and anice rotating choice of daily 'specials' on offerI have to say whenever I'm in there , we are a family of four, the clientele seems to be getting progressively older. Whether this is because it's viewed as too old-fashioned for the young Starbucks trendies i've no idea, but to my mind places like this are quintessentially British amd we should save them by paying our regular visits. The staff are always friendly and chatty and I've been jus as welcome having a coffee in there as having a full-blown mealLast time I went in there , there were couple of the cast of EastEnders having some lunch so there'sd a recommendation!Seriously though if you're in epping, go and try out this little treasure. last time I was there i saw a sign saying 'business for sale' - I do hope it's not nearing the end for this place, i for one like an alternative to the trendy identikit american coffee bars and paying 3 quid for some hot frothy milk, and this place is ideal :)
