The first time I booked was a last minute call as I was at work and my car had broken down, and he reluctantly agreed but when I told him I was going to Hastings he asked me to call him later to confirm which I thought was strange. However I did so and he picked me up later as requested but admitted in the car that if I didn't call he would not have turned up as he suspected I was going to rob him or a that I was drug addict or something similar. At the end he seemed satisfied that I was an acceptable, articulate person and not a criminal or a thug. I was even deemed worthy enough to be gifted his business card. The second time I tried to book I had to ask my partner to call as I was working. David once again agreed to the booking until my partner told him it was going to Hastings - at this point I can only assume David wrote us off as thieving neanderthals as he then told my partner to use another company. Can only say I was disgusted and I will never use again as I am not prepared to be insulted.

Excellent service
Excellent service - could not recommend it highly enough! As tourists staying in Rye, we hired David's taxi to take us to a local attraction - which turned out to be closed that day.. David then went out of his way to find something else for us to do - he really wanted us to enjoy our day. He suggested several alternatives and then brought us to Bodiam castle which was a thoroughly enjoyable day out and probably better than our original choice.. He also came back to pick us up that evening (even though it was after the normal taxi closing time) and was so knowledgeable and informative about the whole locality that the taxi journeys felt like outings in themselves :) We will definitely use this company again when we return to Rye!!
