Deer Fencing

With deer populations booming in the UK, deer fencing is becoming more vital.Government agencies and NGO's believe that deer are more abundant and widespread now than any time in the last 1,000 years. If you ned to provide an effective barrier against deer then you must take into consideration the species you are dealing with, and although not essential, the expected behaviour of the deer when confronted with a fence will vary. Therefore fences may need to be built to individual specifications.Roe and Fallow deer, which are more commonly sighted tend to approach new fencing with caution, pushing the fence first to test its strength, then it will consider the jump, deers have incredibly strong back legs and are able to jump over small to medium fences. The Muntjac deer of both sexes will look for a way underneath the fence before sizing up the jump, because this species can burrow its important these fences are installed correctly.

Chestnut Fencing

Chestnut fencing is a robust and hardwearing type of fencing.Chestnut fencing is known for its natural rustic look that weathers well over time, this sort of chestnut does not need any chemical preservatives due to its tannin content (its own natural preservative). However the high tannin content makes it a poor burning wood, even when seasoned chestnut leaves a tar deposit on fires and chimneys. Sweet chestnut had been grown in this country since roman times, the chestnut stakes are harvested from local coppices, which is a traditional method of woodland management. The growing trees are cut back to their stumps every 10 to 15 years, slowing the tree's ageing process down but encouraging the tree to put out new shoots.Chestnut stakes and stock fencing are a solution for temporary boundaries, as it can be rolled up and moved if necessary. Chaffin fencing can advise and install on this type of fencing.

PJ Chaffin was established in 1984. Chaffin Fencing are experienced fencing contractors providing a full range of fencing installation services for commercial, domestic and public sector clients.
