Lovely every time
I have been to Harris on many occasions and have also cornered the owner for a good paella recipe to cook at home; not only have I always found the service friendly and efficient, and the food really good, but the owner went out of her way to photocopy 3 different paella recipes for me - not sure where Bobby 23 is coming from.

EXCELLENT VALUE
We recently had lunch at Harris' and found it to be great value and very nice too! Didn't meet the owner to my knowledge but the service was friendly and professional.

Superb food, great atmosphere
My wife and I have visited Hastings for the May Day celebrations every year for the past 10 years. Almost without exception we make a beeline for the Harris Tapas Bar for its excellent cuisine, homely atmosphere and friendly service. I can't imagine what the "offensive treatment" was that Bobby23 experienced. Perhaps s/he could share it with us.

Just a wonderful quirky place to spend an evening
I'm afraid that Bobby23 above is one of many envious competitors and has obviously never been there. His/her "review" has been scattered around the review sites obviously in an attempt to kill off Harris. It won't work as they have a very loyal local following that keeps it buzzing even in the winter when all the tourists have gone. Oh, and I almost forgot to say that the front of house staff are some of the best in the business and the food is really good as well. So sod off Bobby23 and try competing in the normal way of good food and service.

Highly recommended
I went out of an evening with my husband, having finally found a decent babysitter. The service was excellent and the owner of the restaurant made us feel very welcome with a rather quirky sense of humour. The food was excellent and could rival any London Tapas bar I have sampled.

Possibly the rudest service in britain?
Thought we'd try this place out and experienced the most excruciatingly offensive treatment by the owner of this place we felt that we had no choice but to get up and leave. Having brought my parents along I was so thoroughly embarrassed at the incident that I had to write this review as I would hate for anyone else to go through what we did. Please avoid giving this place your custom - they quite obviously do not want it.
