Restaurant - Thai in Brighton
62 Middle Street
Brighton
East Sussex

Pop down to middle street, brighton and you will find the Sukothai Palace, a charming thai restaurant that serves good authentic thai food, cooked and prepared by experienced chefs and at good prices. You can either just have a takeaway meal or if you like, it can be a dine in experience here, both options are good. It is fairly close to the large multi story car park at churchill square so you will have no problem parking near by. Try the mixed starters selection which includes, duck spring rolls, chicken satay, goong sarong, wonton parcel, minced prawn on toast, a taste of lots of different styles to share end enjoy. They taste very very good. The aromatic crispy duck served with hoisin sauce and pancakes is a great main course too.

Our first meal on our visit to Brighton set standards which other restaurants could not match for the rest of our visit. We had great service, relaxing location (beautiful tea lights making a romantic and calm setting), and without a doubt authentically excellent cuisine. The tofu starter was tasty, we enjoyed main courses of thai red curry with rice, and sweet and sour king prawns with noodles. The prawns were tender and the curry contained just the right amount of flavour and spice. Our desserts just topped it off nicely: a home baked cheesecake that put all others to shame and coconut icecream which actually tasted of coconut and not sweet icecream with a hint of coconut flavour. I would recommend this restaurant for any one who loves thai food or just wants to give it a go. Not only was the food divine, but we really felt that it mattered to the staff that we were enjoying the food...there was a real sense of pride.
