A beautiful wine bar in Brighton!
In Brighton for this bank holiday weekend and found this wine bar, not far from the seafront. The design is simply beautiful and smart. We had 2 cocktails and a bottle of French Chablis and were indorsed to some Bistro Tapas. Perhaps they were a bit overstaffed but no faults! Will come back on next visit to Brighton ;)

Music too Loud & Poor Food
Whilst I must admit that the service at La Maison du Vin was of a very good standard, I found the food of a very poor quality compared say to Cote Brasserie where the food is fresher and far better seasoned and well presented. I ordered the Pasta with lobster and prawns and I found it very difficult to find either Instead I found muscles and spuid and an overpowering heavy sauce. The atmosphere is not to my personal liking, the music is far too loud, it hasn't made up its mind whether it is a wine bar or a restaurant and it simply doesn't work for diners.
