Great

This small pub is a great place to eat! From the outside, it just looks like a local pub but the people and friendly and there is a very homely atmosphere. They do a great roast dinner daily until 9pm which is reasonably priced for a small place like this and has a modest menu with great food on and regular specials. The portions are generous and it is always served with a smile- not to mention quickly. I believe the Yard Arms is also a bed and breakfast in a great location right next to the Hoe. It is as close as you can get, accommodation wise, to the sea front, situated in front of the expanse of grass that comes up to the war memorial and the Hoe and has a big screen to play the football matches although does not attract the massive crowds of larger pubs. Overall its a great experience for comfortable eating and a relaxed time.
