Wonderful pizzas and pasta dishes
We go to Settantanove regularly simply because the food is so good and the service friendly. It's not the place to go if you want pre-prepared portions served instantly as they cook to order and so you have to wait a little time for individually prepared dishes. The food is genuinely Italian, not the doughy excuse for pizzas you get in chains, and the chicken dishes are superb.As well as the standard menu, there are usually daily specials. Nice touches include complimentary bread sticks.We have no hesitation in taking friends there because we know we can depend on a good meal and friendly service.

Disappointing
THis place bills itself as an Italian Restaurant but is really just a pizza place - I'm not sure the owner has ever been to Italy, what a con. The pizza we had to have was thin crusted with neglible topping and the wine was like vinegar. Ilfracombe could do with a decent Italian. THis is not it.
