November in Dartmouth...perfect!

It was chucking it down when we arrived in Dartmouth at around 1.30pm last Friday but as always Norton Park was a welcoming site...we were staying at one of the chalets on the site for a few days to relax & enjoy the quite that it always offers, whatever the time of year. We settled in & soon forgot about he weather & just chilled out in the chalet for the afternoon. A visit to the pub on the evening (on site) was a must for the karaoke...well actually, to be honest, probably more to have a laugh at those brave enough to actually have a go!! Beer was good & we had a couple of their rib eye steaks..good value at £9.95 for 2. The atmosphere was excellent & very welcoming & we had laugh with the locals & management who are all good fun.Saturday...well rain in the morning & a late breakfast but it soon brightened up & we when out & about in Dartmouth, a good walk, shopping etc...fuelled by several takeaway lattes'. Dartmouth was beautiful as ever..we just seem to feel right at home whenever we get there & it's a very comforting feeling. A nice bottle of Red in the chalet in the evening was all we really wanted...& a meal of course!, what I mean is we were happy to just relax & enjoy the quite on our own, after all, this is what we came away for. Then slept well!Sunday was glorious...the sun streaming through the chalet (south facing) & we enjoyed a good breakfast in the sun, well behind glass anyway..but it was surprisingly warm for November! We took the short drive out to Blackpool Sands later in the morning. If you've never been to Blackpool Sands(the one in Devon without the fun fair of course) it's certainly not to be missed if you get down to the South Hams area, it really is stunning...have a look at some of our pictures, at this time of year the car parking is free although the shop, cafe & very nice toilets are all open.
