Excessively Expensive !
Dean Forge were invited to offer a quotation for the installation of a stove and additional associated works. I was charged £25.00 for the quotation which affords me the opportunity to review the company. The gentleman arrived a full 30 minutes before his appointment and offered little/no advice as to the type of stove which would best suit me, instead saying I had better visit the showroom, which I had already done and was advised a home visit would necessary, total contradiction. Their quote: £1018 to install a 5m chimney liner £750 for the stove and their builder £750 - £840 for building work plus whatever hearth I selected. I obtained a quote from another local, long established, company: 5m chimney liner with cowl £250, Stove (British and with certificate) £300, Slate Hearth £90, Building/installation cost £350. You do the maths... Dean Forge are excessively expensive and I not able to offer any recommendation.

installation and service terrible
Dean Forge have a lovely showroom and a good choice of stoves. However our experience of their customer service and installation is very poor - from contradictory advice, changing our existing setup without asking, being left with a non-working woodburner for 3 weeks and defensive and unhelpful responses to our request for it to be put right. By all means buy your stove from them if you must but get someone else to install it! PS. there is a Pat Ranger who works for Dean Forge - wonder if that is who wrote the positive review above?

Showroom
What a fantastic showroom, I never knew there were so many stoves available. The staff were great and very knowledgable and my wife loved the gifts and cookware they had upstairs. What a hidden gem!

wood burner
Just had a wood burner fitted by dean forge they were very professional and i would highly recommend them.i had a croft clearburn small 8kw the stove works a treat the glass stays very clean i can just sit and watch it for hoursmy wife said she wished we had done it years ago well done dean forge
