If poor customer service was a medal, you'd have won!

Walked into the pet shop for the first time...AND THE LAST!!! Went in to buy dog food and to look at toys. Whilst looking the shop dog (a dog on a long lead wandering around the shop) barked at me and started wagging it's tail, to which naturally I went over to say hello. A male came out from the back area carrying a sack of dog food and asked the dog to move, I also moved and continued to fuss the dog. I was asked in a very rude and stern tone "What do you think you are doing?!" which I said "Oh, just fussing the dog!", the shop assistant responded very rudely "Do I come into your home and just start picking up your possessions???". Shocked I said "I was just stroking the dog?" to which he responded "Well how do YOU know he's friendly?" I replied "because he was wagging his tail?..." which he snapped "he usually does that before he bites another dog, that's no excuse!!". I then apologised and told him I'd leave him and his dog to it and left! VERY rude, VERY abrupt, VERY unhelpful!
