New Menu and other items

We have been open now since just before Christmas and I thought it was time to change the menu. The new menu went live last week and has made some very strong impressions with many customers. Amongst the new "favourites" is our caramelized red onion and gorgonzola soup and my very own special recipe salt and pepper ribs cooked with rosemary and garlic. Another item that is getting a lot of attention is my fresh crab and green chilli linguini. So much so that Jane has now started writing it up on the specials board as "Alto Picco's famous crab linguini". Week before last I didn't have it on the board and people were asking for it saying they had come specially for that dish as it had been recommended.I have been runing a specials board mostly to promote our fresh fish which I get from New Smithfield market in Manchester. I generally go th market at least once or twice a week, it keeps me in touch with what's freshest and best. You can't beat being able to touch smell and feel the produce. It's also a good way to get newly inspired about recipe ideas. I don't have any fish on my menu it is all on the specials board; that way it is guaranteed to be the best and freshest.
