Not happy
After having a ladder hitting the A post on my 59 plate Impreza a car that I love, I needed to get it repaired. It had two dents on the A post above the NSF door. I took the car to Fletchers body shop in Dove holes. Got a price of £360 to repair dent, remove windscreen (so the paint could be blended as I love the car and did not want to see any marks). It was agreed that the car would go in to the body shop the following Monday and it should be ready on the Wednesday. Wednesday came and I rang to see if the car was ready, it wasn't ready - this continued until Saturday. I collected the car and on driving back heard some unusual rattles. This was from the roof rail trim panel having half the clips missing, also the panel under the window wipers having all the clips broken or missing. There was also a window trim that had just been stuck down with black sealant. The paint work was also of very poor quality with pin holes all over and the return edge to the roof trim panel was not painted. I returned the car on the following Monday and thay agreed the work was incorrect and would put it right. The car was left for another week with them. On ringing on Friday(they didn't ring me) I was told the car would be ready to collect after 4pm. The car was ready and had been washed as still wet (not dried) it now looks a lot better but this would have cost 2 weeks car hire as no courtesy car was offered and I've had to take time off work to take the car to and from the garage. To add insult to injury there was not even an apology when I collected the car. I would stay well clear of this body shop.
