This family run Boutique Hotel, Lounge Bar and Brasserie is situated in The Lake District market town of Penrith, Cumbria, half way between Carlisle and Kendal, and can be easily accessed from junction 40 of the M6, A6 and the A66 Trans Pennine route, also the main West Coast railine from London to Glasgow. This Lake District Hotel is located only 4 miles from Lake Ullswater providing the perfect gateway.

Accommodation

Our Hotel offers guests a choice of Single, Double, Super King or Twin Rooms. Rates start from £50. Whether staying as a small or large group why not take advantage of our fantastic food menu's including Dinner Bed and Breakfast or for larger groups our Party Packages. See our Food and Drink's page for details. As our Hotel is on both the Coast To Coast (C2C) and Lands End to John O'Groats cycle route, it is an ideal base for an overnight stop. We at Foundry Thirty Four are proud of our Menu created by our head chef and his team.
Here at Foundry ThirtyFour we pride ourselves on Fresh, Seasonal Food whether it be choices from our Inventive Menu, our Home Baked Bread, or our Delicious Desserts we use the very best of Cumbrian Produce.
Packed full of classic Brasserie dishes our menu changes with the seasons and is modern British, comfortably interwoven with some Mediterranean influences.
Being recognised for our outstanding Steaks is something we are passionate about, therefore sourcing the very Best of Cumbrian Beef and Supporting Local Farmers in the Area is extremely important to us.
All of our Meat comes from Local Cumbrian Farmers within a 30 mile radius of our Restaurant. Fresh Fruit and Vegetables are delivered Daily from Star Fruits, a Small Family Run Business here in our Little Town.
We truly pride our selves on a menu that is fully home-made using the finest of local produce and suppliers.
With a Choice of our a Tastefully Selected Wines and our Fantastic Cocktails we are here to provide you with an overall enjoyable experience and we hope you enjoy your time with us.
Food is served from 17:00 – 21:00 Mon to Thurs, 12:00 – 15:00 and 17:00 – 21:00 Fri – Sun. We also have a wide selection of Bar Snacks that are available throughout our opening times in the Bar.
