Welcome to Oriental Health. It is my aim is to provide help for all who ask and to give patients the tools to help themselves. Oriental Health is a new approach to Chinese Medicine, offering treatments in Acupuncture, Cupping, Moxabustion and Chinese Herbal Medicine across the North East of England.

From 2000 to 2005 Laura studied a unique course in TCM, under some of the countries leading TCM doctors. The course ran by Middlesex university is a Five Year Honors degree and is based on the training given by Beijing University to TCM doctors in China. This allowed Laura to gain valuable experience of conditions regularly encountered in the UK.

Laura has also studied and treated at The Asante Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine (London), The Center for Traditional Chinese Medicine Haverstock Hill (London) and The Whittington Hospital Pain Clinic (London).

In 2004 Laura spent five months in Beijing, studying at two of the largest TCM hospitals in China. This was through Beijing university and allowed Laura to gain experience from the hospital most prominent physicians. Laura was tutored on all the latest techniques and treatments in wards such as cardiology, neurology, respiratory, gynecology, dermatology and pediatrics.

Laura has a good knowledge of many conditions, but has particular success with pain management, sports injuries, menstrual problems and digestive disorders such as IBS and stress related conditions.

Oriental health is a traditional Chinese Medicine practice ran by Laura Bicker BSc (hons) TCM, Bachelor of medicine (Beijing), Registered Practitioner of Traditional Chinese Medicine, member of the Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine (MATCM).
