About

Sitting pretty as Taste of the West’s Gold Award winner, Falmouth Bay Seafood Café is clearly doing something right. Having relocated just across the road, this lovely restaurant is now housed in a large Grade II listed Georgian building, with a beautiful south-facing garden.

The Falmouth Bay Seafood Café capitalises brilliantly on the Cornish coastline – everything they serve is caught in the nearby waters. The restaurant works with trusted local suppliers and fishermen to ensure produce is sustainably sourced and always fresh. Other ingredients are handpicked by the team every Wednesday and Saturday at the local Truro Farmers’ Market. The resulting dishes really are something; the award-winning hot cracked crab claws is a particular hit.

Although Falmouth Bay specialises in fresh, delectable seafood, menus here are varied, incorporating well-executed dishes for both vegetarians and meat eaters alongside the fantastic fish offering. Veggie diners will be delighted with homemade falafel, aubergine caviar and freshly baked pitta bread. Those after a something from the land will perhaps plump for Cornish spring chump of lamb with a redcurrant and juniper jus, or a creamy chicken liver parfait.

With events throughout the year, such as the ever-popular monthly jazz afternoons, there is always a reason to visit Falmouth Bay Seafood Café. Soak up the cosy, laid-back atmosphere, let the friendly staff take care of you and savour some exquisite food.
