With over 35 years experience, Jeri Omlo, BSc. M.Ed. is one of Cornwalls leading Animal Behaviourists and dog trainers. She is only one of 40 Animal Behaviour Training Councils (ABTC) Registered Clinical Animal Behaviourists in the country. Jeri Omlo, BSc. M.Ed. is a professionally trained Animal Behaviourist with a degree in Comparative Psychology and a Masters Degree in Counselling Psychology and Education who is a member of the APBC. She has also studied at Post Graduate Level at the University of Southampton in Companion Animal Behaviour Counselling. Jeri served as an Associate for the late John Fisher, the renowned Canine Behaviourist and became a full member of the APBC in the early 90s. As part of Continuing Professional Development, Jeri regularly attends courses, seminars and workshops to keep up to date with the latest in animal behaviour and training. Recently she has lectured and attended courses on practical dog handling skills, stress in dogs, drugs detection, and animal welfare and rehabilitation. Much of this work was with the world famous John Rogerson. Jeri has also studied diet and behaviour, reactivity in dogs, socialisation and habituation for puppies, learning theory and domestic evolution for cats. At the moment, Jeri is working towards becoming a Clinically Certified Animal Behaviourist with the Association for the Study of Animal Behaviour and towards The Kennel Club Accreditation Scheme for Instructors in Dog Training and Canine Behaviour. She is also working towards the Advance Diploma in Aggression with Compass Training Centre.
