Ta Mill is a secluded rural hideaway set in a peacful hollow of 45 acres on the fringes of Bodmin Moor, twixt moorland and coast. An ideal place to relax and unwind whilst enjoying your holiday, you can escape the pressures and rigors of everyday life in a place where time seems to stand still. Enjoy one of our tradititional cottages, the combination of stone slate and exposed beams reflect the by-gone days of the old mill. Alternatively you can stay in one of our detached lodges with views across the valley or the wildlife pond. At Ta Mill, nature thrives in the unspoilt countryside and you can see swallows swooping across the pond, buzards souring in the skies above and an abundance of wiildlife along the nature trail on site

Our cosy detached lodges sleep up to 4 people, but are very popular with couples all year round. We have stone and slate cottages for 2/3, many with woodburning stoves. Forge cottage offers 3 bedrooms and is a very comfortable 4 star property. Ta Mill House has 4 en-suite bedrooms and is very tastefully decorated to give luxury accommodation, with traditional features of the original farmhouse retained. Our Dairy cottage offers luxury 4 star accommodation suitable for wheelchair users and with underfloor heating throughout, it is a real treat any time of year. Whichever accommodation you choose we know that with the unspoilt Cornwall countryside, the fantastic Cornwall coastline and the many historic towns and villages Cornwall has to offer you will enjoy your holidays at Ta Mill.

Our converted barns are a real treat for that special, romantic weekend. Roaring log burners and central heating make them a cosy retreat any time of year. Decorated to a very high standard to ensure you will be delighted when you arrive, the cottages offer a rare comfort and quality that will exceed your expectations.
A recent review by one of our guests: " Walking in to the cottage was a pleasant surprise as we had been given Miller's cottage for the weekend. Refurbished to a high standard, with a very modern twist, the cottage was a delight and surprise. Underfloor heating, a very well equipped kitchen with a brilliant oven & hob, a gorgeous and easy to use log burner, leather sofas, a huge bedroom with a big comfy bed, a leather sofa in the bedroom, a beautiful ensuite and the buildings original beams left in place, all gives the cottage a beautiful look and feel.

The grounds are gorgeous, the nature trail and walk through the fields on a particularly sunny Saturday morning was lovely. We saw kestrels, sparrow hawks and plenty of sheep! There is also the games room with a pool table which kept us occupied on Saturday night.

Having a car is a must as it is a little out of the way, but that makes it all the nicer. There is a pub with friendly staff about 5mins away. It is ideally located to explore the coast. We ventured to the top of Roughtor, about 15 min drive, and also to Tintagel. We went to King Arthurs castle, but opted not to pay to go in, and instead we explored the beach and its caves. Then we went to Trebawith Strand in search of rock pools and caves.

The price to stay at Ta Mill is a bargain and I would recommend to anyone! Friendly and accommodating staff in a tranquil and idyllic location are just two of the features of this little hideaway. Definitely book your trip there now! I know we'll be going back!"

From M5, follow A30 towards Okehampton, at Launceston take A395 towards North Cornwall. At Hallworthy, turn left signed Treglasta and at cross roads turn left again. Ta Mill is on right after 1/2 mile.
