I ate here about 2 months ago as needed to grab a bite before going to the studios nearby and was really happy with our choice - even more so as my Dad was paying the bill!We went in on a Saturday lunchtime, which was very quiet but have heard does get busy of an evening. Seats and tables are well spaced, yet cosy atmosphere as the walls are decorated with a lot of film memoriabilia - they are 5 minutes from Pinewood Studios and have obviously blagged a few posters etc over the years! Service is polite, friendly and prompt and couldn't fault it.To start we both had perfectly cooked tempura prawns with a light as air batter and juicy king prawns inside, I could have eaten a main of these happily!! For Mains we also both had the seabass fillets, which were also perfectly cooked and smothered in lots of lovely chive butter, with new potatoes and green beans on the side. My Dad had originally wanted the lamb but it wasn't available for lunch (admittedly we had gone in dead on 12 as had to be away by 1.30pm!) but I think he was very pleased still with the fish instead.Pudding was some of the best ice-cream I have tried, I don't know if they make it or buy-in but its worth just going for if you like nutty ice-creams!! I had 3 scoops of vanilla bean, pistachio and hazlenut, all creamy and smoothly nutty. Its a little out of my way but next time I am in that neck of the woods will definately go back.

Extremely presentable bistro style with a cosy atmosphere enhanced by walls adorned with memorabilia to reflect its proximity to Pinewood Studios and the golden age of British Cinema. Staff are courteous and efficient, food extremely reasonable and drinks not overpriced. The range of cocktails offered make this an ideal Friday night out venue pre-clubbing. Don't get a table near the door in winter as this tends to be draughty, also parking is restricted but those in the know park at the nearby Stag and Hounds and brave the 1 minute walk - have a drink there first if you're meeting up with friends as its easy to find on the main Denham/Iver Heath drag. Mid-week a great place for those 'can't be bothered to cook' nights. For 2 people, starters plus mains and a bottle of wine about £40. Booking essential for Fridays and Sats as this is a deservedly popular place.
