Sold my daughter a faulty car then refused to help

Wye car sales are a car dealer. They sell cars via advertising on autotrader. From our experience and in my opinion they should not be trusted. They sold my daughter a car which initially seemed fine but began to misfire and lose power within a few days of purchase. They initially collected it and claimed to have repaired it. They promised in writing to refund us and accept the car back back if the fault returned. The fault did return after a few more days, buy they stopped accepting phone calls from us and no longer responded to Emails. When we finally managed to speak to them they said they were under new management and weren't prepared to assist to get the car fixed. As far as we can tell they are still the same company we dealt with and are therefore legally obliged to refund us or fix the car , but they refuse to do so. We have reported them to trading standards and are now studying our legal options.
