Quantum Web Cafe (formerly 'Quarks') was established in February 2000 and is Reading's longest running internet cafe. We've always prided ourselves on great customer service and being a friendly place to be, whether it's for food a drink (our coffees and melts are legendary!) or using the extensive computer and internet services that are available.

We offer unrestricted and completely secure internet access on fast, well maintained PC from which high quality colour and black and white printing can be done directly. Photocopying, scanning, faxing, CD/DVD burning is also available. PCs have current office software (Open, Libre, Microsoft), Skype with headsets & webcams, iTunes and much more. Additional services include mobile top up, cine/video/audio tape transfers to digital media, calling cards, laminating, PC repair, wifi etc.

Private office hire available for sole use, or as a meeting room for up to 3 people. Don't forget the games zone for when it's time to unwind! See you there!

Town centre location for social or business meetings ...

We're a friendly independent cafe, far from the bustling crowds of the corporate chains, with a quirky, yet professional personality. We're a great little meeting place for coffees, breakfast and lunch, for families, friends or a work lunch break. But if you need something more formal, we also have private working or meeting space. Hire our fully equipped room (includes internet ready and fully loaded PC connected to printers, direct link to front desk, service call button, whiteboard, meeting table, seating for 3) for private working space or as a meeting room for up to 3 people. Ideal for interviews or planning meetings.

Colour, Black & White and Photocopying under one roof

High quality colour and black & white laser printing is available directly from each PC. Large scale print outs, such as dissertations, court documents etc, attract a discount after 10 pages on the mono printer. We have a clever little system that lets you see an actual image of the print spool on your screen first (ie exactly how it will be laid out on the page) so you can double check before you send.

Scanning while you wait ...

Simply give us the documents you want scanned and we'll do them while you're on your PC. They will appear on the machine you're using allowing you to email them directly or transfer to your USB. All scans are in colour and we use a custom setting that allows a very high quality image that still keep the file size to one that is easily transferable. Bulk scanning services, such as for corporates who might want to archive, is also avialable, please ask.

Faxing - it's still a BIG thing!

Yes, we all thought we wouldn't be faxing anything after about the year 2000, but it's still going strong! We fax at extremely competitive rates both nationally and abroad and we don't charge you until the fax is confirmed received by the machine at the other end. Every successful fax creates a printed confirmation page for you to take away with the date and time it was confirmed and the image of the fax sent so the recipient can never deny receiving it! If you need to receive a fax, we can do that too and hold it for you until you collect it, just ask!
