A dissatisfied customer

I do not recommend this company Reasons: 1. Ever-increasing demand for monies way above the original quote 2. Receipts were never produced despite my frequent requests 3. Shower cubicle was incorrectly installed and had to be refitted by a subsequent workman otherwise my floor would flood when used 4. Rather than admit a task was outside their abilities / skills, they repeatedly proceeded to complete works incorrectly and took no responsibility for the costs to me of putting that right, e.g. installing a fireplace wrongly 5. I had a new toilet installed during which, rather than hire a portaloo, they toileted in my garden over a 3-week period – (much to neighbours' understandable distaste) 6. Hurried to lay new flooring before messy exterior building works completed. A subsequent workman had cause to lift the floorboards and we could then see why – pipes replaced unnecessarily (for which of course I was charged) and very much rubble deposited under the floor, incl. old plaster, rather than cleared into skips 7. Quality of some decorating was unsatisfactory, e.g. no sanding, no undercoating, however proprietor Con simply claimed it wasn't his fault but instead that of the workmen – er, they were his employees! 8. Subsequent workmen discovered that only one baton was fitted to a stud wall, therefore a weakened construction 9. Workman greatly enlarged mounting holes in back of kitchen cupboard, so had I not replaced the back board then the interior (and my dishes) would have become dusty! Con's response when I complained – “there were no mounting brackets in the box” (B&Q forgot to pack them but why didn't he call me or go buy some? Hardly a major expense!) 10. Left almost a skip full of rubbish and rubble in my front garden. Con admitted it was a lot but said he would only order a skip if he could fill it 11. Upon my refusal to submit any further monies, Con pulled his men from my home leaving me without electricity and water
