About Us
Welcome to Fred Longworth High School, a vibrant Arts and Applied Learning College. Our aim is for all our students to achieve their best and we have a strong tradition of achieving excellent examination success, regularly \u201coutperforming\u201d our targets to give students a strong head start in life. Our results have improved in each of the past five years and in 2013 92% of students gained five or more A* - C grades with 70% of students gaining five or more including English and Mathematics.
Excellent teaching is at the heart of our success, with a committed and enthusiastic staff delivering high quality, enjoyable lessons that really engage the students and encourage a lifelong love of learning. We believe in treating each student as an individual; our curriculum is designed to give them choice and to nurture their talents and abilities, whatever they may be.
