This is a very nice, good quality fish and chip shop where you can take away or eat in. I've always taken away and it's always lovely to walk to nearby Victoria Park and enjoy your fish and ships there. It's a very clean, nicely run place and the fish is very very good. It's quite a big restaurant, especially for a fish and chip shop, and it's in a nice little area of Hackney on Lauriston Road. I've seen it quite packed so it must be quite popular. The fish and chips with mushy peas were certainly some of the best I've had in London.

Best fish and chips in London!

Discovered this place several months ago and I can honestly say that it is the best fish and chips I have eaten. Restaurant is opposite the park, and is lovely to visit on a beautiful day, especially if seated outside. Inside of the restaurant is pleasantly decorated and the ambience is lively, mostly filled with couples and families. The portions are very generous and well worth the money. It costs around £9 for a portion of fish and chips, which comes with mushy peas and tartare sauce. I ordered the haddock and it was bigger than my plate! The chips are also very, very good but I could not finish them all and had to ask to take the rest home. The menu also offers a wide variety of fresh fish dishes which I will be keen to try next time. The desserts served here are divine. The melting chocolate pot seems a bit steep at around four quid but it was wonderful. In general, this is a fantastic place, I only wish it was closer so I could go there more!

Top Quality Chippy

Set up by the folks behind The Approach Tavern, this chippy serves some of the best fish and chips you could hope to find in London. You have the option of takeaway or sitting in. Sitting in is well worth it as the restaurant is beautifully tiled with some great pictures.Beautiful haddock and chips. The deserts like Eton Mess are superb alsoI've been twice. The first for a one year olds birthday. A very child friendly place. The second time the service was a bit ragged which means it just misses out on the fifth star
