Reading Mike M's write up from Jan 2009 is almost a blueprint or my own experience. I'm not one to really offer a bad review of anything, but I felt compelled to support the existing review as it appears my own experience was not a one off. I,too, would like to say I like Greg. But in the same breath i would also point out my 4 day DAS was more like 4 half days due to lateness. The bikes were old and could behave uncharacteristically as a result. We spent too much time faffing around, completley ignoring any slow speed monouvre training required for MOD 1. Greg's obviously a very accompished rider, but i felt i spent too much time and money hearing about it, and not enough learning from it. Genuinely, i could have saved alot of time, effort and money going elsewhere. I suggest you do too.

Poor School, Avoid!

Firstly before i start id would like to say that the owners are lovely people. Greg the main instructor is a great guy and has really funny stories to tell. However listening to them for hours of your valuable teaching time is not what i paid for. My 4 day intensive DAS course ended up being spread out over 2 months due to various booking problems. On the days of the course, what was meant to be full days of training were less than half a day. Gregs perpetual lateness (one day he was almost 2 hours late) meant the morning involved standing in the cold outside the locked school. There would be little apology when he arrived. It would usually be a further hour of coffee and smoking before we set off. When out he was not a bad instructor but regular breaks for tea and cigarettes meant yet more time off the bikes. The bikes were old and in poor condition. when i went to another school i found out that this makes a huge difference to your riding. When i failed my test i there were no words of positive encouragement. i was given the silent treatment and had to follow quickly on the bike back to the school. Avoid this place save your money. Nice guy no idea how to run a buisness.
