We combined a mini break with visiting a very poorly relative so we wanted to stay somewhere rural and relaxing in order to soothe my anxiety - and we found it! Our room was spotless and from my armchair I could look out on fields full of horses and a baby bunny suddenly hopped along near my window. The hospitality tray was very well stocked and we brewed a cuppa and sat outside on a patio table on two nights. We stayed 3 nights and throughout our stay Howard, our host, was always friendly and informative. I have read other reviews that state to the contrary but we knew when breakfast ended both from Howard and our booking form and we appreciated the early start that enabled us to make the most of each day. Breakfast was cooked personally by Howard who was prepared to mix and match breakfast items - always served hot. It is the nicest guest house we have stopped in and can't wait to go back again.
