Nightmare
I wouldn't call Adambrae local. This shop would never be tolerated over in Adambrae. For many years we lived very near this shop, the noise caused by the underage drinkers was a disgrace,and it's just got worse over the past year or so. The police were never to be seen, even when you called them about the noise, not an emergency they said. We gave up our car, holidays and even christmas, and a few months ago moved to up to Bankton. This is a smaller house but at least we have peace, and so glad to be away from that shop. Strangely, since moving here we routinely see police on the beat, walking in pairs, and on bicycles. We never saw that in Nigel rise, they may have been there but we never saw them?

Dreadful service - High Prices.
This store, owned by locals living across Alderstone Road (in Silverbirch, Adambrae) is garbage. They have rip off prices on their products, better going to Morrisons or ASDA, and the customer service quality is dreadful. The legal age limit requirements are never kept in safe order and the staff there are very kind to underage drinkers. Regular customers like myself are often astonished as to why I return given the rip off prices and the cheeky staff, not to mention the out of date food.

Rip Off Prices
Prices in this shop are way over the top, and I mean way over. What a rip off: no wonder this guy can afford a big house over in Adambrae and runs about in a fancy car with private reg'. Shop's fithy and customers are treated like dirt too.

Rubbish shop
Rubbish shop, rubbish prices and rubbish service. Go to another shop, anywhere is better than this. Teenage drunks hang around here at night.

Garbage shop nigel sise, dedridge
Terrible shop this one, Give it a miss. Plenty other shops in Dedridge. I had to give it 1 star or it wouldn't accept this review, but it deserves nothing. This shop is the cause of about 95% of the under age drinking in this area and therefore should be closed.

Worst Shop in the World, and Livingston
This shop is not a Spar any more it's called "Best-One". The name is a joke: high prices, out of date food and the worse customer service I have ever received. A blot on the landscape, on Nigel rise, on Livingston, on the World. Beware the teenage drinkers who hang arouhd here. I wonder where they get their drink? This shop would sell it to a 10 year old. This shop should be bulldozed..........................................................now that would be an improvement !

Rubbish Service - Rubbish Products
There has been a campaign recently by local residents to have this shop closed down. This, in the main, is due to this shops persistence in selling alcohol to under age teens. The owner is quite brazen about it. It's about time the powers that be got their act together and removed it's license to sell alcohol, better still, close it. I, and the majority of local residents, would welcome that. If there are other local residents who are not already part of the campaign and feel likewise, I would ask you to get in touch with your local councillor. It would not be missed by the decent people of Dedridge we have other shops we could, can, and will use.

Mugged in Nigel rise, Livingston
I used this shop once, and once only. There was a crowd of youngsters hanging around. Anyway, when I came out the shop the young team didn't bother me, but I felt mugged by the owner given the prices I was charged. Once bitten twice shy as the saying goes. My advice: use the co-op nearby and don't get mugged by the young team or this shop.

Con Man of Nigel Rise
We moved to a street near this shop earlier this year. I sent my 9 year old daughter to get milk and bread from this shop, she had £10. When she came back she only had £1.50 change, when I went to the shop and explained to the middle aged man in the shop he denied my daughter had even been in his shop. I left the shop in tears. My daughter had been to shops many times before, and since, and always comes back with the correct change. To make it worse, the bread was 3 days past it's sell by date. Never again !!!!!!!!!!!!

Drinkers at Nigel Rise
A lot of teenagers hang about this shop at night, many of them drunk or in the process of getting drunk. It's obvious where they're getting the drink from: 1 + 1 make 2. Not a nice place and not a nice shop. I think it should be closed forever. I feel sorry for the people who live next to it.

I use this shop now and again, but would prefer not to. Prices are high and the customer service is not good. The co-op just along the road is nice.

Debit Card Scam
Yes, the quality is not so good, however, the biggest problem using this shop is a possible scam. Let me explain, after buying £12 worth of goods I paid by debit card. The next day I was contacted by my bank who told me someone had used a copy of my card to try and withdraw £250 from my account. The bank was alerted to a possible fraud because the attempted withdrawal took place in Pakistan. I won't use this shop again ever no matter how I intended to pay. So be warned!!!!!

Rubbish
In my opinion, this shops prices are day-light robbery. The quality of the fresh food leaves a lot to be desired. In short, this shop's rubbish. Like the other reviewer I too will stick to the Co-op.

No Chance
My worst shopping experience ever: the whole family became ill after eating the pies bought at this shop. Cost twice as much too, it's the co-op for me from now on.

Nigel Rise Shop
This is where all the teenagers get their alcohol, buckie, cider and the like. Don't venture near here at night !!! Tinned foods are pricey, very pricey; fresh food is not so fresh, don't try the cakes whatever you do. Customer service is rubbish, I gave the guy a £20 note once and he told me it was just a 10 I gave him, so watch yourself !!!!!!! Stick to the co-op just along the road.

Worst Shop
Want value for money? Then steer clear of this shop: mostly out dated and over priced, everything well past the sell by date. Customer service with a smile? Not here: all you will get is a swear word or nine. Dreadful shop................................................................other review written by the owner..........don't be fooled.

Amazing service - excellent products
This store, owned by locals living across Alderstone Road (in Adambrae) are outstanding. They have amazing prices on their products, which match to the likes of Morrisons or ASDA, and the customer service quality is immense. The legal age limit requirements are all kept in safe order and the staff there are very kind. Regular customers like myself often are a few pennies short, but these guys don't mind. "Just bring it in later".
