I went to mambo after receiving a flyer stating it was a pay as you wish restaurant, i thought i would give it a try! Service was top notch, very friendly staff and very attentive (but not over the top if you get my drift) The buffet seems to be gone now(?) and my food was fresh and has just the right amount of kick in it without it being too hot. Overall i was very impressed, and paid the full amount for my bill, quite glad i didn't see these reviews first as i probably wouldn't have gone and would have missed out!!

Booked a table 4 3 as thought mexican would be nice 4 a change. Went to buffet and my initial thought was "Run" not to be rude we made a decision to stay (studily) Old plastic servicing trays with meat which looked like it had been there 4 weeks. No explanation of what was in the trays! even Chungs does that! Absolutely horrible not to know what your about to put in your mouth!!!! Dry Chicken (well I think it was) Offering all you can eat then as we found out later that night it turned out to be all you can SPEW............... never been sicker and have to point a finger at Mambo's as how can all 3 people be as sick as dogs after eating the same food at the same place (impossible) Spent £40 odd quid and the only thing that was worth it was the drink! NOT RECOMMENDED it is the most disgusting meal I have ever eaten!!

I love mexican food so I couldn't wait to give Mambo's a try, huge disappointment to say the least!! The very minimal selection is presented in one "hot plate" style server, the food is covered with nasty looking plastic lids with no descriptions of what is inside. The food looked as though it had been sitting for a whole week, let alone a day! I thought the chicken looked the "safest option" however it was dryer than dry and completely tasteless. On approach the staff were friendly enough however this is not a place I would recommeded to anyone for a "meal" as the food is disgusting. Compared to other places which offer "all you can eat" for £10.99 Mambos was very poor, they make their money as I struggled to finish the first plate let alone a second!
