I've stayed at the Marine twice now and loved it both times! The grand hotel is about a 10 minute walk from the train station. The entire hotel is lovely with views over the golf course to the Firth of Forth. The spa is incredible - especially the outdoor jacuzzi! The restaurant served amazing food. Last time I was there i had a seafood terrine, servied with aioli and pickled cucumber, then wonderfully pink lamb with fab mash and veg. Dessert was an incredible cheeseboard. At £35 for the set menu i think it's good value as the food is so wonderful. Service is good - though bar service is very slow. The wine can be pricey. We splashed out a bit, but I'm sure the house wine is good. Water is £5 a bottle - so ask for tap water!
