Head doorman is Thug

Avoid this place like the plague the head doorman has a serious attitude problem does not recognize Government issued hologram ID's he also lies to get his own way, with all the good places you can go in Edinburgh I wouldn't recommend taking the risk

Good for a laugh

Espionage's is a great place to go if you're looking for a good laugh and don't take your music too seriously. It's free entry which is always a bonus and it's that big that you never have to wait too long to get served at one of the bars. It's aimed at students mostly so the there tends to be quite a few promos on a lot of the time. It attracts such a range of people that you're pretty much guaranteed to find someone to have a laugh with and it's easy enough to escape from less desirables. The music's good in a cheesy sing-a-long kind of way, and I'd recommend Espionage as the sort of place to finish up and evening.

A club filled with staircases and doorways!

Espionage is a okay club....okay really does explain it all. Okay drink prices, okay music, okay dance floors and okay service...It holds two dancefloors and 5 bars over 5 floors, which trust me...are VERY confusing. Its filled with doorways, staircases and walkways that seem to either lead nowhere or up when you want to go down or down when you want to go up!!! Its right in the city centre, just off the Royal Mile and is really busy during the festival. Definately not worth visiting if your here only for a visit...but if your a new student in Edinburgh or just moved here, it is worth a visit, if you have nothing better to do. One thing is does have going for it is that its not filled with the stuck up lot that usually attend other clubs in Edinburgh and does have music types for everyones tastes.
