The Edinburgh Floatarium (located in Stockbridge) offers total relaxation. You float in a tank filled with about 25 cm of warm water super-saturated with Epsom Salts (like floating in the Dead Sea). It is mentioned several times in Alexander McCall-Smith's "44 Scotland Street" books. The Floatarium also offers a range of other therapies and services, including a shop.
