Great Service
I have spent many a new year hogmany party at Castleview Guest house. Its an amazing vantage point oerlooking parts of princess street and the castle.I have always found the service and professional manner of the staff top notch. I would highley recommend this place for a short or long term visit.

VERY BAD EXPERIENCE
I have been sending friends and family to Castle View guest house for quite a long time, always with satisfaction, so I'd like to consider myself as a valued costumer.I originally booked 3 nights for my parents (2 nights first, then we'd be one night in the Highlands and then an extra night at Castle View) 3 months ago, but as I couldn't find the confirmation email and wasn't sure about the number of nights, I phoned the hotel twice to ask about my reservation, being told by 2 different members of staff that I had only booked 2 nights. Thinking that was it, I had to rebook my parents at the Caledonian for the extra night, and 3 days after I found that my account has been overcharged with £112. When I called the Guest House to try to fix the confussion, the lovely manager named Beverly had turned into an extremely rude money driven person that would lie about my phone calls, only recalling my first booking of 3 nights. I would have been very happy leaving my parents there for the whole 3 nights but it was them who told me I had only 2 nights, and after I was charged for that "no show". Truly amazing, I know I don't have any written prove but I will still go to citizens advice bureau first thing Monday morning, I am fuming, this is stealing money in my face. People shouldn't be able to get your credit card details as easy as that, as they can take money from you and you are unprotected. IF YOU CANCEL, KEEP WRITTEN PROVE OR YOU WILL BE CHARGED. I will no more recommend this place, obviously the new manager can't match the expectations. A BIG LET DOWN
