Here at Banco we roast our coffee in house. We have a mix of around 7-9 different origins from all around the world that gives us our unique blend. We roast our coffee to a city roast for extra flavour...

From Berry to Cup to You

Our story starts in the mountains of South America to the coffee fields of Africa where our mix of 12 coffee beans start their journey as a wild coffee berry, red, purple and ripe, ready to be picked. Our coffee beans are selected, the beautiful seed is taken out and washed in water for 2 days and laid out in the African and South American sun until dried.

Our bean is then placed into hessian sacks (the same hessian sacks that dress our chairs) and sent to Edinburgh ready to be mixed and roasted. We roast our beans the Banco way and within 24 hours of resting, our beans are ready to be ground and poured as espresso to make your coffee, fresh and extremely tasty. Our coffee is not as bitter as most and has a nutty, chocolatey flavour that goes down well with everyone. So come in and join the journey of our bean, with you being the end result.

All food is fresh, handmade and of the best quality. Come in and try our tasty sandwiches, panini's, salads and decadent treats! Look out for our fantastic deals for breakfast, lunch and supper. We have something to suit every taste and craving.

We hand craft our food in store and are supplied with tasty cookies, treats and breads from some of the best local suppliers like The Foodies Company and La Petit Francais. We provide quality and decadence while you indulge your favourite drink in a chilled relaxed atmosphere. Our cosy corner with super comfy seating is the perfect place to catch up with friends or catch some quiet study time using our FREE WIFI.
