Ballyclare Cattery is owned by Lesley Moore and her son, Jonny.

The Cattery is fully insulated and has been designed to the highest specifications so that our guests feel more at home. We only board cats and we are on-site day and night to ensure the well-being of your cats. Our aim at Ballyclare Cattery is to provide not only a warm and safe place for your cats to enjoy but also to allow people to have a holiday in the safe knowledge that their cats are also having a fantastic time!

Check in/out Times
We are officially open to the public from 9am-1pm daily, however flexible check in and out times can be arranged subject to availability.

Health Requirements
We require certification that your cat is up to date with it's vaccinations against cat flu and feline infectious enteritis, which is a highly contagious disease. We do not accept un-neutered Toms. We also require that you flea and worm your cats prior to check in, however we can do this for you on arrival day for a fee of £5 per cat.

Visitors
To satisfy yourself that every care and attention will be given, you are most welcome to visit Ballyclare Cattery (during opening hours) before boarding your cat, no appointment required.

A Home From Home
When designing our cattery, we wanted the decor to feel very cozy and homely. As such we have added a touch of luxury to the surroundings, with an art-deco cabinet, soft furnishings and lavish wallpaper. We have a peaceful living area with 2 comfy fur covered armchairs, glass coffee table and a real log fire burner. The kitchen area also adds to the homelike feel. Although we have everything a cat would ever need, if you like you can bring any favourite toys or blankets so that your cat will have the familiar smell of home. We use Bach Flower Remedies to relax cats and prevent pining and unhappiness.

Accommodation - Fit For A Queen...Or Tom!
Each one of our 20 single/double occupancy chalets is fully equipped with everything that a cat could need. They are constructed using the most up-to-date materials, including smooth plastic panels. Cleanliness is paramount; all surfaces, walls and floors are very easy to wash and disinfect. The Cattery was purpose built as a small boutique style cattery with just 22 chalets - so that it allows us plenty of time to spoil our guests. If you have lots of cats we have two chalets that can sleep up to 3 cats from the same family. Four of the other chalets are inter-connecting, affording us and additional 2 family chalets should we require it. Each chalet includes a scratching tree with toy, hand crafted house with run, a litter tray and food and drink facilities (which are situated to the far end of the litter tray).

The Feline Forest
Directly connected to our cattery, is The Feline Forest. It is comprised of two leafy enclosures with real branches and high up runs for your cats to enjoy the sun. Invoking the cat's natural instincts, we hide treats around the enclosures, allowing the cat's to have fun whilst hunting. Cats are allowed into The Feline Forest individually (unless they are from the same household) and rotationally.

Feeding
All types of food are provided and individual likes and dislikes can be catered for. We use well-known high quality products such as Whiskas, kitekat, Science Plan and Iams. Meals are regular; adult cats are fed twice a day, with kittens and older cats according to their individual requirements. All ages of cats are catered for. Fresh Water is always available.If you have special Requirements, please fill in the appropriate box on the booking form, which you will receive when your booking dates have been confirmed.

Collection & Delivery Service
We offer an optional collection and delivery service for your cat (at an extra charge).

In Safe Hands
At Ballyclare Cattery we have an unconditional love for all moggies! We have many years experience in looking after long and short haired varieties of both domestic and feral cats. We take great enjoyment in making sure that our guests have a happy and fun stay at our premises. The Cattery has working fitted smoke and carbon-monoxide alarms and great ventilation to make sure that there are no air-borne diseases present. We are also used to dealing with special needs cats and there are no extra charges for administering medication.
