About us.

Spectrum Community Health CIC is a social enterprise that delivers a range of community and offender healthcare services on behalf of the NHS, Local Authority Public Health services and other partners. We employ a range of experienced health professionals including GPs, nurses and pharmacists to ensure we deliver high quality services across a range of environments.

Spectrum delivers enhanced primary care services within the Wakefield District, Cheshire, North Yorkshire, and North East England, including:

*integrated substance misuse services (drugs and alcohol) in the Wakefield District.
*integrated substance misuse services (drugs and alcohol) in North Yorkshire – North Yorkshire Horizons.
*healthcare within secure environments (including prisons and immigration removal centres across the North of England)
contraception and sexual health services (including relationship and sex education) within the Wakefield and Barnsley Districts.
*health and wellbeing for vulnerable groups and people with complex needs.
*key delivery partner for the Big Lottery Funded WY-Fi project (West Yorkshire Finding Independence), helping people with complex needs in the Wakefield District.
*Death in Custody reviews for the North of England.

Spectrum provides primary care services in secure environments, including prisons, hospitals, youth offender institutes and immigration centres. We marry health choices and services with rehabilitation and reducing the risk of re-offending. Through multi-agency working we offer ongoing support and care to service users' journey back to health, even after discharge.

We provide a range of services including, providing nursing and GP primary care, pharmacy services, escort responsibility and management, substance misuse services and non-clinical substance misuse services.

Within prisons, Spectrum delivers high quality healthcare at:

*HMP Wakefield (a high security prison for men typically in security categories A and B).
*HMP & YOI New Hall (a women's prison in Flockton)
*HMP & YOI Askham Grange (an open women's resettlement prison outside York)
*HMP & YOI Styal (a female prison in East Cheshire)
*HMP Full Sutton (a high security male prison just outside York)
*Fieldhead Hospital (low and medium secure forensic units at the hospital)
*Pennine House Immigration Removal Centre (a detention centre based at Manchester Airport)
The North East Prison Cluster Healthcare Community, which includes:
*HMP Northumberland (a Category C male prison in Northumberland)
*HMP Frankland (high security men's prison in Durham)
*HMP & YOI Low Newton (a closed, female prison and young offender institution in Durham)
*HMP Durham (a category B male prison in Durham)
*HM YOI Deerbolt (a Category C Young Offenders Establishment in County Durham)
*HMP Holme House (a category B male prison in Stockton-On-Tees)
*HMP Kirklevington Grange (a category C/D resettlement male prison in Cleveland)
