DO NOT BUY from this store

DO NOT buy from this store! I bought an expensive pair of trainers as a special gift for someone. When purchasing them the store assistant helped me choose and assured me if they were not the right size or colour just bring them back as they’re happy to exchange. This was a lie- as I went to exchange them yesterday and they point blank refused saying it was over 14days. As they were a gift I bought them in advance - but as soon as I knew they needed exchanging I checked the Tessuti returns policy online which clearly states 28 DAYS for all returns. I also rang customer service whilst isolating who confirmed as long as I got them to the store within 28days I would be ok to exchange them. This again was untrue and misleading. I took the trainers into the store yesterday (within the 28days as online policy advises and customer service confirm) and they refused to exchange advising in their store they will only exchange within 14days and there is a sign by the till stating this. It seems the store have made their own policy up (as previous reviews state) and are not adhering to the tessuti returns policy online or advised by their own customer service. I feel I was mislead by the store when they persuaded me to purchase the expensive trainers as a gift. Nowhere on the gift receipt or bank transaction receipt does it state 14days which is why I rang customer service AND checked the returns policy on the Tessuti website. Absolutely disgusting customer service -I now have a pair of unsuitable expensive trainers in perfect condition still wrapped up in box, and Tessuti are refusing to help even though it’s within the 28days stated within their published returns policy. I have been mislead within the store and by the customer service team now on numerous occasions trying to resolve this matter and got absolutely nowhere. Please DO NOT buy from this store or trust anything they tell you or you read on their website as it seems store managers can make their own policy up and not adhere to the official Tessuti returns policy!
