About

The Loch Fyne restaurant in Leeds occupies a perfect location in the city square. Formerly the old post office, the restaurant is over two floors and has plenty of outside seating in the square. You can enjoy the wonderful seafood in a stunning setting 7 days a week.National Railway: Leeds City Station

I had high hopes of this place, as it looks good from the outside. I am a particular fan of seafood and fish but this place is a big disappointment. The portions are just too small. Normally I can put up with that if the food is first rate, this isn't. I can honestly say I can cook better than this and my wife certainly can, she should give them some lessons I think. You have to order side dishes which is ok usually but these are pathetic. For example if you order a side dish of new potatoes you get about 2-3 very small ones cut up. I came away still hungry because I wasn't prepared to pay the very high prices for more than I had originally ordered. The choice is very limited considering it calls itself a seafood restaurant. I didn't see anything interesting like octopus and no (real) sashimi. It has a nice atmosphere but is very busy. I wouldn't go again. Wine prices are too high and not much of a choice, but that's par for the course for many places in the city centre.
