Boiler upgrade
I contacted this company as they advertised they were part of the governments free boiler upgrade scheme. It was for my parents home who are retired and disabled. They attended as they said and evaluated my parents eligibility. My parents were advised they qualified for a £2000 free government upgrade. Anyway, several weeks later they contacted my parents and advised that they could get the free upgrade providing they made a £1200 contribution? They advised this in addition to the £2000 grant would get them their new boiler. Being a little sceptical about this i got several quotes from another 3 other installers. All but 1 company offered to replace the boiler £50 under the contribution value of this company, the other wanted £1350.00 for the job. However not one company quoted £3200 like Help link had asked for. Keep in mind my parents home is 22 years old, and only the boiler is not up to current standards. All quotes received were based on new 15kw HE conventional boiler, with the system being hot water flushed. No controls were being replaced at all.
