Our services

Wills Probate and More provide a range of legal services at a time and place to suit you. Our services include Will-writing, Probate, Powers of Attorney and Care Fees planning.

All our documents are drafted by our Director who is a retired solicitor. He will personally visit you (if a visit is required) and provide the advice you need on the legal issue that concerns you, whether this is a straightforward Will or a highly complex legal matter.

We aim to be approachable and to make our services affordable and accessible.

Please feel free to call us (even out of hours) to discuss your legal matter and get a quote on a no-obligation basis.

Probate Services

Enter a longer description here...A Grant of Probate is a document which you will need to access the money, property, bank accounts and other assets held in the name of a deceased person.

One of the most serious problems with Probate is the high cost of obtaining expert legal help and advice. The low cost service provided by Wills Probate and More ensures that this is no longer the case.

All our probate work, from advising you about obtaining a grant of probate to estate administration, is done on the basis of fixed fees agreed in advance – so you will never be left guessing how much the final bill will be.

We explain to you from the outset what is involved and give you the option of doing some (or most) of the work yourself if you want to.

The benefits to you are that you save money in legal fees and you control what work is done.

Islamic Wills

If you are Muslim and you want to ensure that your money, property and assets are disposed of according to the Shari'a, you should make a Will.

If you die without making a Will, the English legal system will dispose of your money, property and assets without reference to your faith. Your money, property and assets will be distributed in fixed shares amongst your living relatives. These fixed shares are not the same as those laid down in the Shari'a.

It is essential for this reason that you should make an Islamic Will that is recognised as being valid by the English Legal system.

Protecting your home from the impact of care fees

If you are a homeowner and/or have worked hard to save money for your retirement, you will probably want to leave your home and at least some of your nest egg to your children as an inheritance.

However, if in the future you become incapable of looking after yourself and you need to live in a care home, you will be expected to pay for your own care home fees with catastrophic effects on your home and savings.
There will likely be little left for your children to inherit.

If you are married or civil partners or two people living together, special Wills can be drafted which may preserve your home and money for the next generation.

We give advice and provide wills which can protect your home and savings for a fixed fee of £195.00 (which includes severance of tenancy – a legal procedure we will explain to you if this procedure should be required).

How we work for you

Value for Money

Our fees are typically less, in some cases much less, than those you would pay to a high street firm of solicitors providing a similar level of service.

One of the most serious problems with probate is the high cost of obtaining expert legal help and advice. The low cost service provided by Wills Probate and More ensures that you will not encounter this problem – if you choose to use our service.

Terms of business

Our terms of business are set out in our engagement letter. We work to the IPW code of practice.

Pricing Policy

Our pricing policy is based on the providing value for money and full costs information before working for you.
There will be no unpleasant surprises and no unexpectedly high fees.

All the work we do is at a fixed fee which will be made clear to you in advance.

The only circumstances in which the quote will not be met are those where the brief is changed in some way. For example, if you ask for additional work which was not included in the original quotation; or if a fact comes to light which adds to the work involved. If either of these things should happen, you will always be advised if it will result in additional costs, and you will be given the opportunity to change your instructions before any additional work is carried out.

Indemnity Insurance

Wills Probate and More Ltd is insured against the risk of professional negligence for the sum of £2,000,000 per claim. This is on a par with most solicitors.
