Most fish n chips shops nowadays fry in vegetable oil but here in the heart of Yorkshire at Moorend Fisheries we prefer the traditional method.

Wonderful Fish n Chips
What a fantastic Fish n Chip shop this is. I stumbled across this shop by accident one day whilst making a delivery in Heckmondwike. As I came off the M606 driving down A638 in towards Cleckheaton about 500 yards down road on right I found this gem of a fish n chip shop. The menu is all your usual fish shop stuff, but the the portions are tip top (a good man size) and bloody great value for money I can say. Run by a friendly couple from Wetherby (who told me their fish n chips are much better than the Wetherby Whalers in taste and value) the secret to their success is they fry in beef dripping instead of oil. Totally recommended and well worth a visit if your in that area.
