I absolutely love this pub - the atmosphere of old school where you can just sit and mix and have a good old laugh...you get a mixed bag of people in this pub which is also a plus point - no mostly teenyboppers to worry about. The pub has two different sections to it - upstairs and downstairs - with the upstairs being for families mostly which is a plus because you dont have noisy kids running all around the pub downstairs. The food in here is very nice and fulls you up because they are big portiosn...you can choose from meal deals or traditional british food or maybe a touch of spice with a curry or italian....there is such a big choice to choose from and whatever i have chose has been very nice and tasty and hot...nothing has ever been cold or stale which is a plus when eating in a pub. They also have a good choice of desserts and sandwiches and light snacks so there is plenty for everyone. They also do a kids menu which is cheaper than the normal menu...The drink is varied - you can choose traditional ales and beers or go for an inhouse special or a wine or alcopops or be more adventurous and go for coffee...The price isnt too steep either so you can have plenty...a nice clean pub...

This is quite a large pub which is quite unique inside...it is split on two levels - the downstairs is the main pub part and the upstairs is the family area....the family area is nice and cosy and you can sit at the sides and look over into the main bar which gives it an unique atmosphere.....the ladies toilets upstairs are lovely and clean with huge mirrors and all mod cons - posh sinks to boot too...They serve lovely food with lots of special deals like 2 main meals from a huge selection for £7.95 or burger and beer for £4.95...or you can have a wide variety of sandwiches, salads, paninis or jacket potatoes....or there is a nice selection of desserts too....i have tried various items on the menu and have always found it nice and fresh and very tasty - their bacon and cheese melt panini is to die for...you also get a decent serving so i never eat it all...There is a wide variety of drinks to choose from be it alcoholic or non alcoholic....they also do their own beers...and their cocktails are lovely and nicely priced...The staff are always nice and polite and very well dressed and turned out...I have never had a complaint yet with this pub so am well happy with it...When you have been going in a few times you are made to feel like a regular which makes you want to go more often...The nighttime atmosphere is quite relaxed and friendly - the music isnt too loud and there is a traditional feel usually to it with the odd theme night/disco at the weekends....
