Well, it was very busy on the night in question, and we didn't have a reservation - but we were promised a table in 45 mins. So we came back in 45 mins, with still no table ready. The 2 x 4 seater tables which were empty when we had first gone had been changed one big 8 seater, then eventually we watched as they then split it again into a 5 and 2 for us and a couple who had arrived at the same time. We did get free beer while we were waiting though! The menu was extensive and the food was very good - seemed to be freshly cooked to order. However, the service was quite poor (possibly due to them being very busy) with us having to ask for more cutlery, starters being brought out before popadom plates had been cleared away. And then much to my partners chagrin the waiter said 'be careful, it's hot' then handed it to him rather than putting it on the table, thus burning my mans hand!Overall, the food was good, but dont expect silver service!

My favourite Indian in Chi

Thoroughly yummy: they serve proper Indian food here, and the location is very convenient for a post cinema outing(to the little Chichester cinema in New Park Road, not the big multiplex!) I had Lamb Rogan Josh last time I went: it was delicious: perfectly spiced and served with splendid buttery rice such as you never get at home! The Kulfi dessert was vey good too, and there was a hot towel in between,as part of an excellent service generally. I think they do 10%off for takeaway, but we generally go there for a treat so don't know what the waiting time is like. The only quibble might be with the car parking situation - there used to be a big car park just a t the back, but it's now being built on, so there are not as many places as before for cars.

FIRST CLASS FOOD!!! This is the most fabulous Indian Restaurant we have EVER eaten in!! The food is freshly cooked from order and you can taste every herb and spice in every dish. When you glance into the kitchen, it is spotless and a hive of activity with immaculately dressed chefs dressed in pure white. My partners favourite is the Goan Chicken but I have many favourites! The side dishes too, are to die for especially the sag aloo which is not sloppy and thawed out like most Indian restaurants but beautifully fresh and cooked to perfection, the Niramish which is mixed vegetables and the tarka dall - a lentil dish is a must with a freshly made Nan bread. The decor in the front of the restaurant is gently lit, the service is impeccable with friendly waiters who stand at a distance but are at your side in an instant for whatever you request. Get yourself down there - but book first!!!! There is a branch in Arundel too. (India gate please open a restaurant up in Brighton and extend your Chichester restaurant!!!) Excellent!
