Do not let this man into your house , to start with he was two hours late and no word of a apology, he also stepped all over a newly laid patio when we asked him not to . His survey took him 3 hours and I don’t really think there is any need to measure a wooden step at the back of the garden that steps onto the decking . We asked at the end if there was anything he noticed , he said ‘I’m not telling you , you didn’t pay for it ‘ a week or so later our buyer decided to pull out on the grounds of his survey as he decided that we had not had our loft conversation signed off . We then produced the completion certificate and he claimed that it was either falsified or was done by a private building control, which was not the case . He lost us our sale due to the lies he told , our loft was signed off by the local authority building control , agree with the last review he acts like a bailiff and it seems he feels superior to everyone else and all other professionals

Arrogant and rude
This is a business consisting of a husband and wife. We had the displeasure of Colin Bernhardt attend our property to under take a Home buyers report. When the appointment was made we were given a choice of two dates both with a time of 11am. The following week. The day before the appointment Mrs Bernhardt called informing us that Colin would be coming 2 hours earlier than agreed. When she was told that it wasn’t convenient she demanded to know why. Colin then came on the phone and also demanded access earlier. When told that it was not convenient he hung up!!!! Great start! On the day he arrived, knocked the door and when asked to remove his muddy shoes he huffed and puffed and said no he didn’t want to. He then went back to his vehicle to obtain shoe protection. He entered the property and flitted around it entering rooms without recognition that my children were in them and made us feel like he was a bailiff because of his intimidating manner. When asked how long he would be he said he did not know. When the appointment was made no advise was given that it would likely be 3 hours. Don’t use this company this man is vile! Today we have discovered that despite the fact there are 9 identical houses to ours that have sold in the last 18 months he has chosen 3 completely different houses as comparisons and advised the our buyers that our house is worth £70k than they were buying it for. His reasoning for this is that new houses are worth more. Our property has 4 years NHBC left on it and has had £35k worth of extras invested in it!
