In 2005, MHA signed an agreement with ExtraCare to purchase eight of its Homes in the Coventry and Midlands region, including Abbey Park. Abbey Park stands in the grounds of the old Abbey Park Home, on the site of the former Whitley Hospital. It joined the growing MHA network of Homes specialising in dementia care and work with frail older people.
