I went here to see the streets the worst place i had ever been to. It was 17 pounds a ticket to have larger being thrown in your hair and being pushed by all the men. It was £3.40 for a pint of carling. Got there at 7 waited in a long que. the street never came on till 9 and went off at 10:15 what a waste of money. It was not just me who was unhappy as me and my sister went in the toilet and there was other girls in the toilets covered in larger and had been hurt by people mainly men pushing you over. Then when we were leaving kids were outside about 100 jumping and singing in the middle of the road and the police riot vans had to come out. i hardly seen any security men all night.

This is a tiny, tiny venue to see a band play, and i was really excited when i first arrived. However, the stage is set back, and the view from most of the bar is restricted.Seeing a band play in such an intimate venue is always thrilling, and the sound quality is very good, it is just let down by the fact that unless you're right in the middle, or to the right of the stage, you just won't have a great view.Drinks prices are relatively cheap, especially for pints of Carling, as the Academy is part of the Carling chain of venues.
