I ate a meal here and it was really overcooked. When I was asked if everyhting was ok, I advised that it was overcooked and was then told that I was not to dine there any more if the food was not good enough. I felt really bad and will not be returning.

the rosedene pub is situated just off a main road. it has been there for many years and i have visited it many times, most recently for a family get together. the food is excellent and although not great big portions, the meal was fantastic. it is a quite posh compared to pubs which are more in the centre of town, but it has a great atmosphere and relaxing feel to it. there is also the bar which we all bailed into after our meal, it was a good night and would go back again. great for familie. highly recommended.

The Rosedene on Alexandra Road is a run-of-the-mill pub, situated slightly out of the main drag in Sunderland, serving the Ashbrooke and Tunstall areas of the town. The usual crowd is fairly mature, probably due to the out of town location, although drinks are reasonably priced, and the atmosphere is friendly to both locals and strangers. The drink menu is fairly basic. The pub is always packed on November 5th, when Ashbrooke Fireworks take place close by. An ATM cash machine is available just inside the main doors, by the toilets. Surrounding area is very pleasant, creating a lovely atmosphere.
