The life centre is in time square in Newcastle so is ideally situated if you are arriving by train. Just turn left out of the main station exit and you'll see the giant logo. In fact I think there are signs from inside the station portico. The centre for life is a science museum which has a great number of modern exhibitions. It also has a good little café and every winter an outdoor skating rink is set up outside its doors which is very popular. The museum itself is popular, especially with school trips. As the life museum is a bit on the pricey side, for an alternative why not check out the Newcastle discovery museum, a free science museum with more of a local focus?
