Sarah Rutter Counselling has been providing counselling in the Surrey and Croydon area since 2004. Clients come from South London, all parts of Croydon and East Surrey.

My consulting room is in my South Croydon home, which is a convenient five minute walk from Lloyd Park tram stop for those travelling from East Croydon Station and for connections with transport from all over the Croydon area. There is also free parking available both off-street and in the surrounding roads.

I have been practising as a counsellor since 1996 and obtained my Diploma in Psychodynamic Counselling in 2000. Since obtaining my Diploma I have undertaken numerous Continuing Professional Development courses to broaden my knowledge and to improve my practice. I have over 13 years' experience of working in a voluntary sector counselling centre in Croydon, where I saw a variety of clients with different needs and problems.

I have also worked in the NHS as a therapist for people with learning disabilities and a range of mental health problems. I started my private practice in 2004 and since then have helped many adult clients, which has given me a breadth of experience in working with adults of different ages, sexual orientations, cultures and backgrounds. If you are experiencing psychological or emotional difficulties you can contact me directly - you don't need anyone to refer you.
