Came here with 4 friends and a baby on Sunday and yes, the restuarant wasn't busy. However, I was taking advantage of my tastelondon card to get 50% off the food bill so it really didn't bother us at all.I had the soft shell crab salad for starters was brilliantly done - lots of different textures and flavours, however quite difficult to eat. I then had the pad thai which was equally as good and very authentic. Food was enjoyed by all and there were mumours of delight from time to time. Bill came up to £65 with the offer - so we left feeling happy and full.

A craving for noodles one Sunday lunch time lead us to try Thai Square for the first time. Thai Square is a chain of Thai restaurants, located mainly in and around London. The Richmond branch is a large restaurant, with a modern interior. There are lots of tables and I wonder if it ever gets full - when we dined there was only one other table of two - I guess Thai isn't a popular Sunday lunch option.Service was efficient - though you would expect that due to the lack of diners. The menu is large, with all the usual Thai dishes. There were several set menus which sounded interesting, but not what we were after on this occasion. We started with a serve of the Giant Duck Spring Roll, which were cut into four pieces and were quite tasty accompanied by a plummy dipping sauce. For main course we had the Lamb Mussaman Curry - "a mild Muslim ragout from the south of Thailand, cooked in rich coconut milk, potato and peanuts" (there was an extra charge for boiled rice), and the Pad Seiyu - "Stir fried thick flat rice noodles with chicken, green vegetables, egg and dark soy sauce".The meals were an ok size and the ingredients were decent. The atmosphere let the experience down a bit though.
